Hi,

I am using Windows 7 and I have installed the Kinect for Windows SDK 1.6. Then I run Fast Avatar Capture and press the Connect button. It works, I can see myself in the viewer. I also read 'Sensor initialized successfully' and the motor control works. The problem appears when I press the button Capture Avatar in the Body tab. It produces an 'unhandled exception'. And it is the same if I press the Scan button. I have upgraded the SDK to the 1.8 version and I get the same result. What I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

me too, i have windows 10, and two troubleshooting.

First one, the arrow of my mouse moves in a inconvenient way, automatically, in every travel. This takes place dice that I connect to the port usb the kinnect.

Secondly, when i scan myself, everything seems right, turn left etc, but at the end, then loading capture, fast avatar crash... i 'll try with a better exposure of myself, but i think both troubleshootings are connected.

Thanks for your help

 Me too.

After taking pictures from 4 directions, the software crashes during "reconstruction of super resolution scans".

Also, how can you connect kinect v1 to windows 10?

My windows 10 can't even recognize kinect v1 after installation of kinect sdk 1.8.

Thanks.

It seems like many people are having trouble with the application.

Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to support this (I only have a small team and a lot of software to support). Generally, my research team no longer uses the Kinect-based scanning (partly because the Kinect v1 is no longer being sold, the Kinect v2 doesn't have a motor, and there are higher-quality scanning systems available).  Sorry!

If any users have a workaround, I encourage them to post to the forum.

Ari
