Hello. I am doing a research and I want to build SmartBory for iOS.

I just download it and run it with xCode and the result in my iPad was just a white screen with nothing on it.

Is there something else that I have to do? I try to understand the project and make some changes but all I get are many errors mostly about libraries.

Thank you in advance,

Margaret.

I haven't rebuilt the ios version lately; likely, I'll need to adjust the build to accommodate some new files that have been added since the last time it was built. Are you running the minimal application in ios/applications/minimal?

Yes. When I call specific functions e.g. setPosition of SBPawn class it occurs the following error:

"Undefined symbols for architecture armv7:

  "SmartBody::SBPawn::setPosition(SrVec const&)", referenced from:

      _SBInitialize in minimalwrapper.o

ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture armv7"

Also, i run the file "createIOSBuild.sh" and the new Xcode project seems to have the same problem.

Thank you,

Margarita

The missing reference was changed in revision 5626, which tells me that the header files (.h) are out of sync with the smartbody library, which needs to be rebuilt. To do this, a few files will need to be added to the smartbody lib project (since some files have been since added).

Unfortunately, I am not an iOS expert, and will need to get some assistance with this reconfiguration. You might be able to do this yourself. I have some other priorities right now, so I will likely not get to this for a month or so.

I have a workig older version of SmartBody for iOS (about a year old) that I could post if you think it would be helpful.

Ok, I've added that version that you can download here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/smartbody/files/?

With the file:

SmartBody_iOS_122313.zip

Which should include an iOS project that provides a simple interface to SmartBody for iOS (in applications/minimal).

Let me know if you are able to get it working.

Excellent. Feel free to share any changes you need to make to get things to work properly.
