Hi;

It's my first time to use Smartbody and i am impressed using it. I am having a problem importing my own character Keni inside SmartBody and also i tried to convert .fbx file into .sk file to have a .sk file. It says that Input file : keni1.fbxFailed .

Can you convert the .fbx into a .dae (COLLADA) file? SmartBody can import COLLADA directly.

You can send me the .fbx file, and I could try to get it working. My private email is shapiro@ict.usc.edu

I have created a Collada file format as an alternative. What is the next step?

Thank you very much.

Using sbgui, you can either drag-and-drop that .dae file into the 3D space and the character should appear, or you can drag it into the scene outliner (to the left) and it will load those assets from the .dae file (which may include a skeleton, a mesh, animations, etc).

You can also load the file directly with Python like this:

scene.loadAssetsFromFile("/path/to/myfile.dae")

After importing ChrKeni.dae into the 3d space, it shows a large size character with no skeleton created.

Yes, I'm having trouble importing that character as well.

I'm experimenting with the assimp asset importer library to see if that handles such problems.
