I don't have access to Maya 2013 and latest version of OpenCollada only works with Maya 2013. Then I should export My motions with DAE_FBX. I used one of the motion files from built-in MotionBuilder library. Import it into Maya and export as .dae. When dropped it into sbGUI. It seems it is imported but I can not see the animation. I can only see the character in a large scale in T-Pose.

I tried to convert the same .fbx file with FBXToSBConverter to make .sk and .skm file. But it seems that I need to do some preparation in Maya (Add or Rename Some Nodes) Which I coudlnt find anything on this forum. There is only one line in documentation says "The FbxToSbmConverter uses the node prefixed with "AnmDef_" to read the sync point data...." which dosent make sense to me.

Any Help Appreciated,

The opencollada plugin is available for many versions of Maya, you can see here:

https://github.com/KhronosGroup/OpenCOLLADA/wiki/OpenCOLLADA-Tools

When you drop the .dae file into SmartBody, it recognizes a character, then automatically creates a character instance from that file.

If you select Window->Motion Editor you should see the animation in the list.

If not, you can send the file to me and I'll see why it doesn't work. shapiro@ict.usc.edu

I used Open Collada to export the skeleton and animation. But When I drop the .dae file into SB and want to play the animation through "Motion Editor" all joints jump at one point.
