Hello, I installed Smartbody and I am having some problems running it... I have load some some scripts and they run, but the characters are not displayed. I can view the bones, the deformable geometry and other views, but not the "normal" view of the character. How could I solve this?

Did you install the SmartBody SDK, or did you download and build the project from the source code repository?

 

Can you tell me:

1) What platform you are running on?

2) What kind of grapgics hardware do you have?

3) Can you send or post the smartbody.log file that should have been generated in the same directory as the sbgui executable.

I installed the SmartBody SDK. My platform is Ubuntu 14.04. My graphics hardware is Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02).

I suspect you can't see the rendering  because the integrated graphics controller drivers don't support the rendering that we are using. 

The 'deformable geometry' setting uses software skinning, which is slower, and the GPU deformable geometry setting uses the GPU. Can you make sure that you are using the most updated drivers for that card?
