You're right; there seems to be some problems rendering the texture on an obj. Try this:

in the .smartbodysettings file (same directory as sbgui.exe) change the line from:

renderer=ogre

to

renderer=custom

then after you run SmartBody and bring the character into the scene for autorigging, change the attribute 'displayType' to 'mesh' instead of 'GPUmesh'

scene.getCharacter("defaultPawn0autorig").setStringAttribute("displayType", "mesh")

then you should be able to see the textures (using the software renderer).

In the meantime, we'll have to fix that bug.

Hi Ari and longpo1988.

I have similar problem with longpo1988 and tried Ari's solution, but the solution is not working. I have a different model, some textures are there on the screen, but the upper body becomes black after i tried Ari's solution. This happened after i rigged with Autorigger tools from Smartbody then import the .dae file into sbgui. Have any idea about this ?

Thanks!

Robert
