Hi, I think I encountered some problems with smartbody. There seems to be some potential memory leaking problem.

For example, when I use SBGUI to run the example script, it works fine. But once I delete the zebra-2-map part or I do not create a new skeleton but just set to my character, there would be memory leaking problem. May you help me take a look that what happens there?

Thanks so much.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were numerous memory leaks...

A couple of years ago, my team tried to eliminate as many leaks as possible. We were using the Google profiling tools ( to track them down. There is an option in the linux build to use those tools (see the top level CMakeLists.txt file and change:

then you can run sbgui like this:

HEAPCHECK=normal ./sbgui

which will produce a set of data, that can be converted into a graph that shows the function calls that have memory leaks.

Got it. Thanks.

I may try these tools and I would reply to you as soon as I solve the problem.
