I tried running this code on ChrLindsay as characterName on mobile and on chrBrad on desktop

bml.execBML(characterName, '<face type="FACS" au="1_left" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="1_right" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="2_left" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="2_right" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="4_left" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="4_right" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="5" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="6" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="7" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="10" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="12_left" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="12_right" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="25" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="26" amount="0" />')

and they don't seem to be doing the same thing, am I doing anything wrong?

when I ran this on android it only appears to have only raised one eyebrow instead of both

bmlExec = '<face amount="1" au="12" side="BOTH" type="facs"/>'
bml.execBML(characterName, bmlExec)

Try  using side="left" or side="right", or side="BOTH" if you want both sides. So instead of this:

bml.execBML(characterName, '<face type="FACS" au="1_left" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="1_right" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="2_left" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="2_right" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="4_left" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="4_right" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="5" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="6" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="7" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="10" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="12_left" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="12_right" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="25" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="26" amount="0" />')

try this:

bml.execBML(characterName, '<face type="FACS" au="1" side="BOTH" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="2" side="BOTH"amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="4" side="BOTH" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="5" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="6" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="7" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="10" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="12" side="BOTH" amount="1" /><face type="FACS" au="25" amount="0" /><face type="FACS" au="26" amount="0" />')

Thanks Ari, that already worked for me.

Now I am encountering another problem, I am trying to make the character walk in-place:

when I try to run
<locomotion manner="run" target="0 0" sbm:numsteps="50"/> or <locomotion manner="run" target="0 0" /> the character does not move.

<locomotion manner="run" target="50 50" /> makes it move, but I am still unable to make it move in place.

I also tried running

<animation name="ChrUtah_Walk001" /> and
position = SrVec(0, 0, 0)
characterName.setPosition(position)

again, it still walks continuously, and not in-place.

I am using ChrLindsay, behaviorsets with ChrMarine and ChrGarza (MaleLocomotion.py and MaleMocapLocomotion.py) are not working. Her Legs are stuck in the triangle position and she walks like a penguin.

Any advice on how to make the character walk in-place?

You can run the stepping blend if you want to the character to move slightly. If the target location is too close to the current location, no movement will be made when using the locomotion tag.

bml.execBML('*', '<blend name="mocapStep" sbm:wrap-mode="Once" x="1"/>')

where the x and y parameters are left-right and forward-back.
