text-to-speech relay fixed for SmartBody Windows SDK

August 16th, 2014

Hi,

It looks like the TTSRelayGui.exe was crashing from the Windows SDK distribution (in the menu, choosing Windows->Speech Relay).

This can be fixed by downloading the following two files and place them in the bin/ directory:

http://smartbody.ict.usc.edu/sdk/ttsrelayfix/FestivalDLL.dll

http://smartbody.ict.usc.edu/sdk/ttsrelayfix/vhmsg-net.dll

This will enable the text-to-speech functionality on Windows. The list of voices available will pop up in the TTSRelayGUI.exe window. You can use any SAPI compatible voices.

To change the voice of your character, change the ‘voice’ attribute to ‘remote’ and the ‘voiceCode’ to match the name of the voice in the ttsrelaygui.exe window (i.e. ‘Microsoft|Anna’) .

SmartBody adds autorigging and autoskinning feature

October 31st, 2013

autorigging
We have added a feature to SmartBody that allow you to automatically rig and skin a character.

SmartBody’s automatic transfer of behavior allows you to quickly animate and control fully rigged characters. This mobile version works similar to how Android casino games websites works where you can play android casino using android casino apps. Here’s an example of fast animation using a Mixamo character:
